I'm knitting as fast as I can to get the mitered scarf finished so I can start on the socks. So while I'm finishing up the scarf I'll also figure out the modifications. I'll think I'll be finished by Wednesday.

So the Dragon scale scarf that I am modifing is basically:

Row 1 and all other odd rows: knit 5, purl 26, knit 5
Row 2: k 6, YO, ssk, k4, k2tog, k3, YO, k2, YO, k3, ssk, k4, k2tog, YO, k6
Row 4: k6 YO, k1, ssk, k2, k2tog, k4, yo, k2, yo, k4, ssk, k2, k2tog, k1, yo, k6 Row 6: k6, YO, k2, ssk, k2tog, k5, yo, k2, yo, k5, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k6
Row 8: k6, YO, k3, ssk, k4, k2tog, yo, k2, yo, ssk, k4, k2tog, k3, yo, k6
Row 10: k6, YO, k4, ssk, k2, k2tog, k1, yo, k2, yo, k1, ssk, k2, k2tog, k4, yo, k6 Row 12: k6, YO, k5, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k2, yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k5, yo, k6

The meat of the pattern is 13 stitches: k1, YO, ssk, k4, k2tog, k3, YO, k1 (first pattern) and k1, YO, k3, ssk, k4, k2tog, YO, k1 (second pattern). Instead of YO's I'll be doing M1's: k1, M1, ssk, k4, k2tog, k3, M1, k1 (first pattern) and k1, M1, k3, ssk, k4, k2tog, M1, k1 (second pattern).

Next I need to figure out how much filler do I need? Socks for Grilltech I usally CO 80 stitches. 13 goes into 80, 6.15 times. So, it's a four repeating pattern for a total of 52 stitches. Which leaves me 28 stitches I need to figure out what to do with. (33 stitches per needle)

Final product:
