Playing Games

No knitting last night, instead I played Civilization V. Grilltech went to bed pretty early last night and I thought I should join him, but ended up going to bed at regular time. The old just one more turn situation. I'm almost to the point of having tanks, then I'll go to war. The other leaders keep trying to get me to fight before I'm ready. Not going to happen.

In a brilliant move this morning, I grabbed three packages of instant Malt-o-Meal instead of two. Now I have way more cereal, then I can eat.

Drive By

For the past couple of weeks, I've been feeling pretty down. Really haven't been doing much, kinda drifting along. Today I'm feeling a bit worse, still drifting, but picturing life without me. I can't say things would be better, I'm sure Grilltech would be very sad if I wasn't around. I need to snap out of this mood, because game night is coming and I've got to figure out what I'm going to do to them. Actually I've got most of it mapped out, just not feeling like playing. Its all so... distant? muffled? disinterested? I'm not sure I'll find the right word for what I'm feeling.

Next week is Thanksgiving. Thankfully, we mapped out who was going to do what and that's done. Now the waiting for the holiday to get here is going to drag on.

Last night I worked four rows on the sweater. Two rows at a time, is all I'm hoping to complete at a time. Perky's mitts are coming along. Figure about another inch before binding off.

Update

Everyday I think, I should post something on the blog and then the day just slips by with no post. Days turns into weeks and suddenly it's been a month since the last time I've posted. Not sure if it really has been a month, but it feels like it. So what's been happening?

Grilltech and my 26th anniversary passed. It was just an ordinary day to us. He did grill some chicken, but by Friday we'd forgotten what had been made. I think apathy is setting in, time is passing and we just drifting along.

A couple of weeks ago, we drove an hour to visit the parents. They fed us chicken enchiladas and Spanish rice for lunch. We had a nice chat, while Baby Bird went and collected acorns from the oak tree in their front yard. D was very happy with Baby Bird.

I'm still working on the Captain America sweater. I'm thinking of ripping back and not starting the raglan decreases until after then star is completed. But that would extend the amount of time I have to work on this sweater and I'm not really sure I want to spend more time on it or not.
