List Day

  • Counted five cars at the bar this morning
  • It’s a lovely cool cloudy day
  • A sun beam is warming up my arm and I want to curl up in it
  • My phone fell in the parking lot and the case is cracked
  • Which is way better than the face plate being cracked
  • The Earrings I ordered on Saturday night showed up in Wednesday's mail!!
  • I've finished the body of the tantric puzzle top
  • I think it's a bit small, which evens out the too big of Hey Teach
  • Maybe it's time to take up a new hobby
  • Oh hey, it's too hot to do karate
  • It appears with Irene coming, east coast operations is shutting down Friday night
  • Remember when I said it was a lovely cool day? Isis must have heard me and decided I should be made into a liar
  • The chickens are running around, and I have eight more minutes before I can leave

Hmmm, Bacon....

I took today off. It was Very. Much. Needed. I was able to sleep in until about 0800. Went to the gym about 0900, but they had a exercise class in the pool, so I bugged out until 1000 and the pool was mostly empty.

In the mean time, enjoy the pictures.

Down the street:

I actually had a supervisor this morning:

I've got about another 10 inches to go on my body:

Which is a good thing, because I'm getting tired of knitting with cotton.

Today's mail came my package of sock yarn. This is Goth Valentine:

Fran seemed to like the other skeins better:

Hmmm Bacon...

Dye Lots?

Down the street:
The gray dot in the middle of the road? One of the neighbors seven cats. We refer to them as the Gang of Guses.

I finished the first side of my puzzle top. Instead of doing 12 inches wide, I went about 16, because yanno, I'm fluffy. I also went 48 inches long, instead of 42 inches.
It was only when I was taking the picture I noticed, the dye lots don't match. If this was a sweater I would be wearing in public, I might care, but it's a house shirt.

I started the other side.
Manged to get quite a bit of knitting done while waiting for Grilltech's surgery to finish up. He's doing quite well today.

Once again, I had no supervisors. Maybe the dye lots do match, and I took the picture wrong... Yea, that's it.

Questions

Should I be worried this one took forever?

Guess not, he should be back within 30 minutes or so.

Monday

Today isn't a good day. Nothing is going wrong, it's just not good. Last night's sleep was solid, long, and fairly cool but restful? Not so much. Thankfully, I have my sweater at work, because it's a bit on the chilly side in here.

The sun is shining and it's pouring rain, even the weather is having a hard time making up its mind.

I'm less than two inches away from finishing the first side of my top. Much like Sandra I can't leave well enough alone. I'll explain more when I post pictures.

At this point, I've decided I'm going to make Fall of Leaves (rav) out of the sea silk.

I put my stuff back out on the main server, and today it crashed again. Yip, I've moved it back to my local system because I have a low tolerance for losing data.

Already?

It literally has been too hot to do much of anything. Breathing and sweating is pretty much the only activity I'm wanting to do. And honestly I'd much rather not sweat. It's also - brace yourselves - too hot to knit. I've been working on the puzzle top, which is a cotton, but it still sticks to my hand.

Today was stormy and much cooler than the past two weeks. I even made it to karate. I walked around the block once I got home. Along the way, I saw these two:

I don't know why it rotated, it was straight before it was uploaded.

Flown

It appears our babies have grown up and moved away. It was a short summer.

Melting

Down the street:

I didn't make it to Sock Summit, but two of the ladies from the LYS did. I asked one of them to pick me up some sea silk. She got me a lovely pink and champagne colorway. I can't decide what to make with it.

Any ideas?
