Down the street on a warm summer day.
On the way to breakfast this morning, I noticed a trailer with sparklies set out in front of it. We ate, then I drug Grilltech over to look at them. But Tim had everything packed up, because he was getting ready to head out to Florida. He offered to pull out what attracted me. The items are bottle stoppers. It's a good thing Dad has a lathe and can make something lovely out them.
Started the first repeat of the fifth chart. I'll be repeating this section three times to make it large.
Grilltech's sweater. I completed three skeins so far. The math says I need to knit 25 inches before I start the arms. 25. INCHES. Thankfully it's cotton, so it's not as hot sitting on my lap.

Dreams are Funny
Last night, I dreamed I was working on the most beautiful scarlet lace project. I must have been four or five charts in, because the thing was huge. Somehow the left needle had pulled out, leaving about 40 stitches off. I remember looking at it and thinking, no big deal. I can just re-thread the stitches and started doing it. My mind didn't like that at all, because when I'm about ten stitches away from joining up the needles, it suddenly dropped three or four rows!! I felt pretty sick about it.
Not exactly sure what that dream was about, but honestly I had to check my actual project. No dropped stitches.

Wow, it's hard to believe today is the last day of April. I've only posted eight times this month, so I'd better get it in gear and post one more time.
What's happened in the past two weeks? Not overly much.
On Sunday Grilltech made three racks of ribs. We had Perky and her roommates over for dinner. By the time everything was said and done, there was only six bones left. They were that good.
I'm ready to join the sleeves on Gnome's sweater. Which means, I'm pretty close to being done with it.

I'm training another Lackey to do the mini-bid. Not sure if I didn't train the last one right, or he was just taking short cuts that screwed himself over. But me being me, I blame myself for him not doing well.

Grilltech and I have a bet going on about ten movies. We each pick five movies, which start between the dates of April 24th and September 6th. The goal is to make the most money opening weekend. Who ever wins, gets a nice present. It was randomly decided I got to pick the first movie. (He did it on his phone, so there was no chance of me cheating.)

Guess who has two thumbs and a sinus infection? Yip, me. Yesterday, I made it to the doctor and he gave me some antibiotics to help me get better. I hope to be back soon and healthy.

It took two trips to the dentist yesterday, before my tooth was straightened out. First time was to have the filling replaced. The second time was to have the filling filed down, because it was sharp and pointy once the numbing agent wore off. It will take a couple of days for my mouth to heal up, because I managed to bite the hell out of it. Apparently I wasn't as careful as I thought. On the plus side, I'm able to chew gum again. So, I'm a happy camper.
I've got two goals for tonight: 1) sweep and mop 2) vacuum. Grilltech will be off teaching, so I'll have no reason to turn the TV on. Oops, better make that three goals: 3) practice.

I came down with something. Not sure if it was the flu or a slight cold, but I was miserable. I'm feeling better, but I'm still not completely well. My sinus' are killing me.
Grilltech was a real sweetheart. He got me a box of truffles for Valentine's Day. I was totally surprised. I hadn't even given much thought about the holiday.
I've got 9 more valleys to fill on my blanket and this row will be done. I'm not sure yet if I want to put the blanket away for the season or start another row. I'll decide when I get there.
My hair has reached that stage of it's long enough to get in my eyes, but not long enough to pull back. So, I'm trying various things to get it out of the way.
Grilltech did brisket this weekend. He's pretty awesome. Next week we're have breakfast burritos.
I've started the fingers of the fingerless mitts. They're pretty close to be done. You know, just in time for summer.
It appears I'm very talented, I chipped my crown. Next week, the tooth next to it gets fixed and they'll round out the crown. I'm also getting a night guard. I've got a tendency to grind my teeth.
And that's what I've been doing. Thrilling, isn't it?
