Really?REALLY?! If I was in my twenties, I'd so be taking a shot at a trip to Mars. Maybe if I start getting in shape now, they'd take an older, wiser person.
I'm afraid us, um, wiser folks won't be in the running. I wanted to be an astronaut so bad when I was a kid. Then this claustrophobia thing came up. I'd be such a miserable flight crew member.
John Glenn got the senior pass, right? All your time in the cube farms has inured you to confined spaces and bureaucratic BS. You have established your ability to endure prolonged tedium and still produce superb work. Sounds like you're a winner!
