First a little back ground. Grilltech and I have been married for almost twenty years. Rings around Grilltech have a short life span. They get lost, broken, or warped. Yes, warped.

So after the first two disappeared, it was decided to pick up something cheaper. He picked out stone rings, because their about two bucks apiece. We usually buy two or three of them at a time - because as he puts it - the ring tries to betray him.

These hematite rings break at the slightest provocation. Hit your hand just right on the counter. Snap. Ring falls off, hits the ground. Snap.

So the other day, I'm pulling something out of the medicine cabinet, and one of the rings jump out and smashes to bits on the counter.

So, I had to blame it on Grilltech.

note the line "one of the rings jumps out"... Proof that the rings are betraying me..

Hmm - so you need a ring made of something that won't break or bend out of shape? How about a tattoo?

My husband isn't good with rings either. He lost two (he says they left him) and the third one doesn't fit at the moment. It doesn't matter to me if he wears one or not.

I wear my husband's ring on my thumb. I like it, and it's handy for him if he every wants to put it on...

Mate and I haven't worn rings in years... we both got fatter (me more than him) and when I was pregnant with thing 4, thing 3 grabbed the ring off my pinky finger and ran off into the black hole (our bedroom) and lost the darned thing. Haven't seen it since. We know we're married. The people we know know we're married... we figure it's good!
