- 9 cars at the bar this morning
- I'm such a dumbass, I forgot to adjust the reskill script for a site
- The guys couldn't get it to run, so I'm doing it
- Can't do anything on my other machine until it's done
- Hugh Jackman
- I bit my tongue while eating breakfast
- It's Friday Eve!
- It's still the week of the 19th, not the 26th
- Data Entry person isn't here today, which mean I'll be helping picking up the slack
- OMG! Rose-Kim today is jaw dropping
- I'm having a brain freeze on the Lupine socks. Did I do my usual 20 (40) rows for the heel?
- Maybe I can pull up last Wednesday's WIP picture and count cables
- Must stop thinking about sexy men... I'll never get my knitting right
- 12 cables! (Yes, I did pull the picture and had to count twice to make sure.)

- I have five frozen bowls of chicken barley soup for lunch next week
- My wallpaper
- Sure, stupid page takes forever to load, I pick up my knitting it comes up
- Time for some gum, I can hear the Siren's call ever so faintly
- Dude, I got the message. Seriously, it serves no purpose other than to annoy me by calling in two minutes later for the same reason
- Heel is completed, now I need to pick up for the gusset
- And I have this overwhelming fear, I've messed up the length of the heel and will need to rip back when I get home
- The palm of my right hand is itching madly - is it money? or family? I can't remember
- I'm such a dorkfish, I wanted to go to generate reports; not rerun the morning reports
- Fine... I'll close the stupid database and reopen it, because when you stop all macros; it means ALL macros. Not just the one running at the time
- Roxie, what happened to the nice weather?
- Seriously? A chance of snow on Friday/Saturday, it's almost May!
- It's 0940! No wonder I'm starving
- That's right, I can't use the card reader on the keyboard
- It was family. There was a bag of stuff hanging on the front door when I got home
- Christian Bale
- The gym was a bit busy today
- I did the length of the heel right!
- Be safe out there; the other guy is unstable

WIP It Wednesday
I did throw away those shoes, because I don't want to deal with them anymore. Today I'm wearing a skirt so I've got girl shoes on. I'm wearing purple tie-dye footies, because I don't do panty hose. Sigh The footies slide down and I've got a raw spot on the back of my left heel. By the end of the day I'm going to be seriously hurting. Which will make swimming today questionable. The front desk has Band-Aids, so I'm saved. I should have taken two, because now the other one is wearing down.
The access database, not to be confused with the datamine's database, is acting up. Guy-who-used-to-run-these-reports (hence forth will be called Bob) tweaked it yesterday. Now one (insert appropriate cussword here) macro won't work. I'm running all the ones I can manually until he gets in. Hopefully before long before some of these reports are due. After chatting with him about the error turns out it was the data throwing the error, not the above-cursed macro. Hmm, go figure.
I've forgotten how much people don't follow directions or when they do, I can't understand them. It's amazing how fast the old habits come back.
The Gnome scared the hell out of me. I was busy working and he was talking to me - it was completely unexpected. I've been doing the same thing to Grilltech. Course it’s not as funny when it happens to me.
Somehow I messed up the (insert appropriate cussword here) sock pattern again. I can't even blame day dreaming about Dean in a pink thong when it happened. I was - however - thinking about Grilltech.
GAH!!! I'm not going to have enough to finish this sock in pattern!! Choices are:
A) Rip out both and knit a boring vanilla socks
B) Knit from the other one until they're both the same length, then knit toes of a different color
Yea, no contest... B
Yeah me! At lunch today I saw the snack machine had cherry pies. My siren. My nemesis. Two hours after lunch, I'm starting to get hungry. I had money in hand was walking toward the break room before I realize what I'm doing. I go back to my desk, put the money away and pulled out a granola bar. Will eat some pineapple here in a bit also. I don't need any stinking fruit pie.
Oops, no WIP pictures. I meant to publish them, but I had already hit post before they could be attached.
2/5th of the Week
Knitting has been off and on. I've finished the first Lupine sock. Only 4 cables away from starting the heel on the second. Been working on the hematite vest (Grilltech's). It's going to be a long boring knit. Straight stockinette for 34 inches. BLAH.
BLAH seems to be the word of the day. Which is odd; the weather outside is warm, comfortable even. Work is okay. Easy enough to leave at the door. Since it's left at work, I won't forget to bring it back. I walked out leaving my car keys hanging over my desk this morning. Went back into the garage, made it two steps only to turn around again because I'd left my gym bag on the coffee table. I did remember to grab my lunch, otherwise I'd be really hurting this afternoon. Afternoon? It's mid-morning.
Grilltech is looking for snacks for game night. I'm thinking those look really, really yummy.
I hate these shoes and I should toss them so I won't keep wearing them. Because this time my socks won't slide down in them. I won't toss them until I pick up some sort of a replacement for them. Maybe some cute sandals. It is spring.
Tonight is soup night! I made stock on Sunday. We froze four pints (?) of it and the last one is dinner. Yummy. I don't understand how chicken can be so dry in soup. (It's from a can.) So, leftovers will be frozen for my lunches. I'm wanting to pick up some bones to make beef stock. The brisket will be amazing in that soup. And my chicken soup won't have dry chicken.
I picked up a copy of Momma Mia on Saturday. Forced Grilltech to watch also. It was a cute story. I knew all but two of the songs. Today, I'm listening to my CD, there four ABBA songs on it. I'm such a dork.
OMG... Amy you're going to get me fired!! Hysterical laughter is not approved activity in corporate America. It didn't stop me from reading it, and the cow-orkers didn't appreciate me snickering, giggling, and being a teenaged-girl. Grilltech rolled his eyes at me, when I told him breathlessly Amy's posted!
W00t! We get to wear jeans to work on Friday.
GAH! It looks like I'll need to rip back two rows. So the rules are: no lace knitting while drinking adult beverages and no pattern knitting while thinking about Dean in a pink lacy thong.
Because I'm a Lemming....

Monday, Monday
didn't need to do because I didn't eat lunch on Friday. It started raining five minutes before I made it to work. Rain is a gentle word for the relentless driving downpour I got to walk through. It also turns out, I left my PDA at home on the charger. On the plus side, I do have a burnt CD of MP3's so I'm not tuneless.
Grilltech had to put up with me being a rampaging psychotic witch Friday afternoon. He really enjoyed it. I try hard not to let the crazy show often. But when it does - it's exciting. NOT! Today, I'm feeling pretty run down. And it's bright in here. I know, I'd bitch if I was hung with a new rope. Hell ya, new ropes chaff.
On Sunday the Eldest and family came over. Baby Bird was cute as usual. Grilltech fed her M & M's which she had no problem chowing down. Dinner however was a different story. The Eldest was a bit frustrated about the whole situation. I was laughing on the inside; because it wouldn't be nice to laugh at her out loud. Yea, the Eldest has a daughter just like her.
Not a whole lot in the way of knitting was accomplished over the weekend. Spent more time, playing Guild Wars - and cleaning - then knitting. I need to get back into the practice of using my powerball. My wrists have been bothering me a bit. I know, I'm such a whiner.
Twenty more minutes, then I'm off to gym. Tomorrow: WIP pictures.

I don't know how he does it, but Grilltech is hard on his socks. He's wore a hole in the black-toed-buffalo socks. He's had them about a month. Last night I was noticing he has a thin spot on the bottom of his bamboo socks. Crazy. I'll need to start darning them. Or I'll make him start wearing store bought ones... That'll teach him.
And now for something completely different: (thanks Cece)

It sure felt like a Monday
There must have been an event happening at the bar Tuesday night. The parking lot was packed! There were way to many cars to count in the two seconds it takes me to drive by.
In knitting news, I haven't started the project yet. Not even swatching. While the IC has been screaming, I've been trying to get caught up. I hate have two or three major projects on the needles. On the plus side I'm on down hill side of both projects. If I knit instead of reading all night, they'd get done faster.

IC: I want to work on something else.
Pull out Lilith and start knitting. Thirty minutes later:
IC: Black is boring! I want to start the project.

IC: NOOOO. SICK OF MOHAIR!! WANT PRETTY!!!
Me: Socks!!
IC: NO!! Not socks! I want PRETTY!! PRETTY!! PRETTY!!
Me: How about I go pull the pattern and yarn?
IC: Okay
Find the pattern and yarn I think will work.
Me: See? Pretty!
IC: PUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRR
Look at the pattern.
Fearless Knitter: Hey kewl! You're going to knit this pattern on size 3 needles with sock yarn!! That's AWESOME!!

FK: You know, most knitters would look for yarn to match the pattern, but not you....
I start reading the pattern.

Ukiyo-e (浮世絵, Ukiyo-e), "pictures of the floating world", is a genre of Japaneseand paintings produced between the 17th and the 20th centuries. it mostly featured landscapes, historic tales, theatre, and pleasure. Ukiyo is a rather impetuous urban culture that has bloomed in popularity. Although the Japanese were more strict and had many prohibitions it did not affect the rising merchant class and therefore became a floating art form that did not bind itself to the normal ideals of society.
People that chose Ukiyo-e art tend to be more simplistic yet elegant. They don't care much about new style but are comfortable in creating their own. They like the idea of living for the moment and enjoy giving and receiving pleasure. They may be more agreeable than other people and do not like to argue. They do not mind following traditions but are not afraid to move forward to experience other ideas in life. They tend to enjoy nature and the outdoors. They do not mind being more adventurous in their sexual experiences. They enjoy being popular and like being noticed. They have their own unique style of dress and of presenting themselves. They may also tend to be more business oriented or at the very least interested in money making adventures. They might make good entrepreneurs. They are progressive and adaptable.

Only two things have been changed on the knitted swatches. Needles were different, a set of straights and a pair of circulars. Knitters were different. Perky is a very tight knitter.
One sleeve is almost completed. I'm documenting like crazy, I've gone off the grid with this tunic.
And the sweater seems to have recovered. It was put into the drier by itself and most of the threads have worked their way back. Now I know.... that's half the battle*.
* Using the knowledge is the other half, they never tell you that part.
It's Ugly
I wore my sweater on Saturday. It was comfortable and warm. I didn't need a jacket. On Sunday I threw it in the laundry, with the rest of the clothes. It's made from sock yarn, I throw my socks into the washer and don't think twice about it. Until I went to put the clothes into the dryer. And noticed hooks had embedded themselves into fabric**.
I want to go throw up now.
* -3 do they make clothes that small or would that be a Barbie dress?
** Whole new meaning for getting getting my bra hooked up...
It's Sunny Bunny Time*
In between training times, I ran out of stuff to do. So I start preparing for a big project. I copy the data I need. I cross check to see which ones are needed and which ones can be deleted. I underscore the activities that can go away. I double check to make sure none of the schedules would be affected. Once it's done, it's done. I wait a day, and warn the rest of the team, there maybe some funky stuff happening with the schedules. They'll need to keep an eye out for it.
The next day, I highlight the underscore events and hit delete. I then get pulled into training and soon forget the fateful delete. About three hours later, flaming Drama Queen (hence forth he shall be known as DQ) is neurotically going off how new schedules don't look right. OMG!! When I deleted the events, I went down to far and deleted vital ones.
Long Timer (hence forth she shall be known as LT) goes and whines to the Gnome. While the Gnome isn't happy about what I've done, he's not rampaging about it either. Which annoys LT to no end. I send DQ the file and mark which events need to be added back into the system. LT is on the phone to support trying to get the mess cleaned up. I tell her, if the events are put back then added back to the shifts they'll be fine. Which the support guy tells her the same thing.
LT is pulled from her regular duties to get the project I had been slowly working on. Which she does within two weeks. We've all pitched in and everything is back to normal.
Today, my training is put to the test. I blew it. Can you see why I'm the Queen? I did report. I was ready two hours ahead of time. Only to find out two minutes a head of the conference call. I'd forgotten to set the page to the right one. Then my system took 10 minutes load the right pattern. Crappy On the plus side, I learn from my mistakes.
There are tons of dumbasses out there, and today I was their Queen. On the other hand, the day is over. The weekend is beginning. Monday is a haze in the back of my mind I'm going to ignore until Sunday night.
* Sunny Bunny is one of Grilltech's home brews, pineapple ginger. YUMMY!

Has anyone else besides Trish heard of square knitting needles? I've started a pair of socks with my size ones. I've noticed the stitches are tighter. Usually the knit stitch before the purl is a bit distorted, but not so with these needles. Strange - or should that be awesome? Not really sure what it is. (Insert an eye roll and big sigh) Grilltech is going to be annoyed that I want to get more needles. How many pairs does a knitter really need? I'm sure he doesn't really want to know.
When leaving from lunch yesterday, I found a bunch of crocuses coming up. They haven't bloomed yet, but they're a-grown. I guess this means spring is on the way. I also saw a flock of robins about a month ago. Yea!! Spring.
Been busy
I'm so happy the sweater is done. I was tired of knitting it. When I finally reached the home stretch, I was knitting like a mad woman. I still have a ton - a ton - of the sweater yarn left. So I'll be able to make socks and more socks.
In the mean time, Grilltech and I got our tattoos.

10095 to go - Superbowl Sunday is the anniversery of our first date
- I ended up with two! DVD sets of season three of Supernatural
- I'd rather watch a sunset, then sunrise
- My parents call me when they have questions about the night sky
- And when they have issues with their computers
- I collect penguins
- I don't watch TV as much as listen to it
- Granny was amazed when I was trying to convert a flat pattern to round in my head
- Because I struggled to learn to read
- My favorite color is any shade of purple or blue
- For the past three years my calendar has been the night sky, this year's was Loons
- I quote movies quite often
- I will knit something
mostlyfollowing the pattern the first time through - Our movie collect is about the same size as our book collection
- I prefer sci-if/fanasty to fiction
- Silver is better then gold
- While Dean is a yummy, yummy hot guy, Grilltech is my yummy, yummy hot guy
- I can make Grilltech crazy by just smiling at him
- I make girls crazy by asking are you sure?
- I don't drink coffee
- My inner child is screaming and howling that I begin a new pair of socks
I'm glad it's over....
No knitting last night. Instead I worked on silver wire that one day will become a bracelet. It's a learning process. Grilltech told me, don't take up a new expensive hobby. I guess knitting is enough. Not that I'm really that interested in jewelry making. Altho... I've got some really good ideas on bracelets...
And I can only conclude Perky hates me. Why? She made brownies last night. I can resist crap food at work. It's easy to say, no to shrimp flavored Cheetos and please move your chocolate covered doughnuts to the other side so I won't see them. Its not so easy to avoid the kitchen in my own house. She hates me.
Almost a sweater....
The sweater is so close to being done. No longer a 1000 miles away, a measly 100 miles. Far enough to be trying; but close enough to make me crazy. I've listening to the voice in my head, the one who says fun things like are you sure it's going to fit? It looks a bit small. You won't be able to wear it next year if you lose all the weight and other fun thing. So I moved the stitches onto the 47 inch needle and tried it on. Because you know, it's so. freaking. close. to. being. done. It's very form fitting - code for snug - but looks AMAZING. Yea, I know it's almost spring and the sweater is mostly done. I'd call it done now, but a shoulder less sweater isn't any good. So, I'm still knitting on it.
On Sunday Grilltech and I went out to breakfast. Since it was a spur of the moment type thing - we were on the way to the store when we pulled into the restaurant - I didn't have my knitting with me. To entertain myself, I started spinning my wedding ring. Not my real one; it's on a chain. All was going well, until... It bounced off the knife then rolled across the table cackling the whole time. Once it had enough speed, it launched itself off the table, aiming for the wall. At the wall, it slid down and hid under the booth seat. We looked at each other then he said it's gone. It's a good thing it was a two dollar stone ring. Otherwise a) I wouldn't have been spinning it and b) we'd still be there looking for it.
List Day!
- Nine cars at the bar this morning
- My back is bothering me
- Not enough to prevent me from going to the gym, but work is annoying
- My ears have been burning for the past two days

- First reboot of the day
- Second reboot of the day
- First database disconnect of the day
- Flunky did show up; late and almost in tears
- I left my knitting here overnight
- I'm craving bagels and cream cheese
- Do you think the happy bunny would mind if I ate 3 of them?
- Asking me about profile issues does no good, I'm WFM not ROC
- The Cleaning Lady at work is slipping, there was only nine rolls of TP in the stall, not 17
Shoot me now...
Anyway. I finished a wash cloth. I needed something else to do because I'm getting pretty tired of working on the
I had half a candy bar today, so when the Gnome walked by with a bag of Mint M&M's I turned him down. I love the logic of it's only four, it won't hurt. It's only crack, go ahead and shoot up...
2009-01-29
- Still training the flunky - last and this week
- There was 11 cars at the bar this morning - last week
- I forgot to count this morning; because a possible flashy red and blue was driving by me
- The database has crashed on me three times so far today - last week
- Once bad enough to require a reboot - last week
- Today, I need to reboot because I've done software updates and it's asking to
- But I'm not rebooting, because I have other
crapwork to do - I'm so ready for the week to be over - last and this week
- Still haven't figured out what to do with Dad's hat
- I may end up using wool to complete it; bright electric blue
- I ended up going to the store and spending the $$ get another skein
- My lunch as peas in it, and I loathe peas
- Some how I don't think Grilltech would let me spend $550.00 on a pair of head phones
- But I think he'd let me get these headphones
- Dropping things seems to be the a reoccurring theme - Tuesday I dropped my water in the break room
- Lunch today also has peas in it; it should have been called peas and rice
- Bleck
- A guy I went to school with has started working here
- He's stopping by and chatting to get information of how to move up in the company
- Reboot happened; but not by choice
- I'm really disliking today
- Second reboot of the day

- Checked out four of them, then went back to the first one... next time go with my gut
2009-01-27
While Grilltech was
Today, I have been so out of it. I ran the report and sent it off. Half an hour later, I look I had sent it to myself instead of the distro list. I'm such a dorkfish as time.
And now for something completely different: (Thanks Grilltech)
This is just disturbing:

I woke up an hour before the alarm was suppose to go off. I did manage to get back to sleep, then I slept through the alarm. I was reaching up to hit snooze for the first time when I noticed the time; fifteen minutes later then usual. ACK!! Thankfully we were proactive last night and packed gym bags, made breakfasts, and I pulled my tote bag to the front room. The one thing I didn't do was get Grilltech sodas for the day. Instead I did that this morning. And managed to drop one where it exploded. All over the stove and my leg. Since I had five minutes before we had to run out the door, I put a towel down and walked away. I'm hoping Perky is thoughtful enough to mop the kitchen for me.
Grilltech being a very thoughtful and loving husband loaded the bags into the car while I cleaned up in the back. The drive into work was uneventful. (The bar had only one car this morning.) Did pass an officer, but he was going the other direction and not interested in us.
I unpacked my tote to find, I don't have a breakfast packed or drinking cups I brought home to have washed. The cups did get washed, in fact they're sitting in the dishwasher waiting to go back to work. On the plus side, I did have money so I could buy breakfast out of the vending machines. Not the healthiest of things to do, but it's better then nothing.
It's freezing in here. Cold enough I dug out my mitts and I'm still not happy. I'm about ready to put my jacket back on. I've had two supervisors at my desk unhappy themselves about various things. One I could help, the other wasn't so lucky.
I'm not going to the gym today. Instead I'll be at the dentist's getting my teeth cleaned. I'll take a few minutes and walk around the block for some exercise. Or not; I'm feeling very
Yesterday was Dad's birthday. He loved the hat. Today would have been Granny's birthday (or still is, she's just not getting any older). The Eldest and clan came over because Dad wanted to see them. And they have new computers they wanted to show off. Grilltech was trying to work on his paper he put off until Sunday. He ended up stopping what he was doing because they needed computer work done and the place was chaotic. Everyone cleared out about 1730 and he was able to get his paper finished.
Baby Bird is getting big. She was out side with me taking pictures. She decided she wanted to go running over to the neighbor's driveway. She slid one some slush and bonked her head. She wasn't the happiest child. I brought a sobbing Baby Bird to her mother then went and picked up my socks. Thankfully they decided to stay on the porch, otherwise I would have had to send the cats out after them.
I did get several stitches worked on the sleeve while waiting for the clock to reach 0430 this morning. The sleeve has 1.5 inches to go before I increase for the underarm gusset - it's sooo close to being done!! The next set of instructions are worked out, so once the sleeve is finished I can continue on. I messed up the same row twice yesterday and had to rip back. On. the. same. freaking. row. twice. But I'm much better now.
Anyway, the day is two hours from being done. The sun is shining!! My hands have warmed up enough the gloves have came off. I've set up an appointment for next month to get my tattoo. Life is good.
Oh and Perky thinks I need to go back to actual titles instead of dates.

I've run out of yarn while working on Dad's birthday present. It's a hat which needs to be done on Sunday. I'm using buffalo and it's pretty $$. I only need about 10 yards or less and I really don't want to go spend $$ for a skein.
I've got an e-mail into a friend who might be able to help me out. (Fingers crossed)
2009-01-15
- Number of cars at the bar this morning: 4
- Cars with flashy red and blue lights sitting behind them: 1 - he wasn't at the bar but down the street from it
- The car might have been from the bar, which is why the flashing red and blue was behind him
- I'd prefer to think it was speeding instead
- Guys who kinda look like Dean at the gym: 1 (YUMMY!)
- Number of times I've cried at work during the past week: 1 (damn Gnome)
- Yes, the Gnome is aware of his title
- The fog has moved into the area for the winter
- Now, I'll be crabby since I'm not getting enough sunlight
- I had some pretty convoluted work dreams last night
- It smells like egg rolls in there this morning
- No one walked past carrying any, so maybe it was just me
- I'm training a Lackey
- He's very s.............l............o..............w
- Slow is good; but the let me double check that three or four times is going to drive me crazy
- The new gym work out is draining
- The cube mates don't want me to loose weight; they keep bringing
crap foodbagels, muffins and other carby goodness - We hates them
- The day is mostly over
- The flu is running rampant around the center
- Lackey has it and is here; which means I'll be doing a second bout with it sometime next week
- My phone needs to be charged, so it's beeping at me
- The day is over!!
- Damn, still need to go to the gym to go
- Okay, don't need to, but will do so
- Heeeyyyyy, maybe the almost yummy hot guy will be there today
- Grilltech's voice in my head: Why not have almost yummy hot guy grill your steaks…
- We're having BLT's for dinner tonight
- A lady in the gym commented that I've been loosing weight
- While it's flattering, it's kinda freaky at the same time
- I'm up to post 492
- Be safe out there
- Because maybe the flasy red and blues really pulled the car over for coming from the bar
2009-01-12
Kommadant's new fingerless mitts. Took the Broad Street Mitts modified them to fit a larger hand. I had everything done but the buttons sewn on. I handed them to him, without the buttons sewn on. We went to bed at that point. From what I understand he looked at her and told her to finish the gloves so he can wear them.
2009-01-08
- I left my knitting at home, I know the database is going to drag.
- There were seven cars at the bar this morning.
- My hair is getting long enough to get into my eyes, therefore is annoying.
- I got a shipment of yarn from E-bay. Picture to come.
- The roads were very nice this morning, only wet in some places.
- It's been snowy for the past couple of days.
- I blame Roxie.

- Grilltech stopped by to offer me some dental floss and tooth picks, so I could knit.
- And the
crap foodcream cheese brownies have arrived. The down side of the team working in the same bay as me. - WTF!! Now muffins have shown up.
- Grilltech wants to spend 350 bucks to make a gallon of Saffron beer.
- Yes, Saffron is 25.00 bucks a GRAM, which 14 grams makes 1/2 an ounce.
- I found a place which has a gram of Saffron for 100 bucks. A little better.
- I had a muffin. Now I'm stuffed.
- A cow-orker wants to know why I can fix something by doing the same things she's done; but it works for me. Simple I'm an otaku.
- In ShadowRun an otaku is a mage who works with computers, instead of mundane things.
- I'm getting a headache.
- OMG!! Cow-orker, IM him like everyone else. Because he's (now) in the bay with us doesn't mean you should leave your desk and come chat about non work related stuff.
- Okay, it only bothers me because she's standing at my desk to talk to him.
- Not only did I forget my knitting, but my wallet as well.
- I got Season 3 of yummy, yummy, hot guys!!!
- Red it's Opal Petticoat 1298.
2009-01-06
I'm very jittery today. I wonder if it's the medication - most likely - I've been off it for a week. It's all I can do not to be snappy. (I wonder if I'm still be snappy but not as bad as it could be.) And I loose my train of thought so easily. I was going to write something witty, but for the life of me I can't remember it.
Last night, I finished Kommadant's mitts. I'll post pictures soon.
The new work out makes me
2009-01-03
I barely missed having my mitts done in 2008 by about five hours. I would have had Perky model them; but I'd never see them again.
List Day!
- When I screw up my initials (for logging) it comes out 0hh.
- I started my other mitt.
- I'll turn the moon into what I'll call a "death star"...
- There was three cars at the bar this morning.
- I gained two pounds.
- Fran was attacking the TP last night. Evil cat.
- Supernatural fans should check out the Dean thread on Ravelry.
- Today, I'm removing OT from schedules; so next week I can be bitched about.
- Yesterday I completed two mitts.
- I keep meaning to change the music; but I haven't yet.
- Two more hours of my day left.
- Oh yea, gotta love it when they say, move X. I do. Two hours later it's Oh sorry, he's not moving. After the work is done.
- I feel old today.
- They're trying to make me crazy.
- Better reason to call in: I'm going to be late because I was pulled over because I have one headlight.
- Before I leave today, I'll need to reset my password.
- The spelling of your last name is optional if a) its an easy name or b) you can't spell it yourself.
- I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it's already 2009 (close enough).
- I wonder if they'd notice if I left now.
- The Gnome is trying to get me to knit him a chullo for his kids.
- Dude, seriously? Not after the implied weight gain question.
- Yes, I am petty.
- I missed my 3 year blogaversery; it was December 22nd.
- Perky's birthday was the 22nd as well.
- I'm almost at 500 (486 to be exact) posts.
- Hey, this year is over, that means I can go back to dates as titles.
- Oops, forgot to reset the password.
- Have a safe New Year...
Pictures of Presents
Short but Sweet
I brought one of the Christmas presents to work. I'll admit to loving it almost as much as Grilltech. It's warm, which does make me a little more pleasant to be around.
Today the garage door man will be swinging by the to look at replacing ours. Merry Christmas to me!! Grilltech got a new furnace; I'm getting a new garage door.
MeMe
I only had four pictures in the six folder, so I used the forth picture. It's a barn that's on the way to Dad's house.
Because I'm a Lemming....
And now for something completely different: (Thanks Red)

List Day!
- I've discovered the secret to making the computer move faster: knit!!
- It's almost a game. If my knitting is in hand, the database screams.
- The second it's out of my hands, it slows down just enough to make me snarl at it.
- We've got a long snowy drive ahead of us tomorrow.
- I decided I was going to knit one more thing for Christmas.
- It might get done, it's small.
- I'm trying to decide what to take with me on the trip. The sock; the mitt; and the sweater.
- I could finish two of the projects. Maybe I should only bring the sweater.
- Have I mentioned how I've grown to loath the sweater?!
- The cow-orkers have moved back into the bay. Now they can annoy me even faster.
- I'm sure, them watching me knit doesn't help their attitude either.
Fuck'em.I mean, they should go practice safe sex.- I've been bad. I've been eating
crackcrap-foodcookies. - Maybe I should knit more; it would make me forget the cookies.
- And please don't tell the sweater what I said. It'll take FOREVER to get done.
- I've got ten minutes of my day left.
- Oh-please-oh-please-oh-please make it go faster.
- Oops, I forgot to publish. Oh well.
- It's time to change the music on the PDA.
- Sweetie, if you're going to wear a swimming suit to work out in... please take a few mintues and shave your legs.
- I'm off to the store.
- Good night.
- Merry Christmas.
- ....and be safe.
Friday!!!
We have a new heater. The house is warm!!
Oh yea.... Amy, Christmas cards are mailed and so are presents!!! Does this mean I've won?
List Day!
- I have to keep reminding myself; screaming at the computer won't help.
- It's so cold here, the house isn't warm at all.
- Oh wait, the heater is acting up again.
- Finished the heel on my sock today.
- When I finish these socks, I'll be making myself a pair of mitts.
- Watched all of season 3 of Supernatural. My chief complaint? No balance. Started season 4; balance showed up.
- Hey is that your wedding ring you're wearing on your chain? Yea, it doesn't fit any more. How much bigger does it need to be resized?
- Comments like that is why I refer to him as the Gnome.
- Perky called to try to get out of going to the gym because it's snowing!
- I told her to suck it up and bring my gym bag.
- I suppose a better argument should have been, it's warm at the gym.
- Ladies, I'm trying to work; go cluck some place else.
- I've got to make a pumpkin cheese cake for tomorrow's knit and eat.
- I'm able to post when I send it to the right e-mail address.
- Came home to heat and instead of 4K for a new heater, it's only 1.7K.
- We're waiting for the bank to call us back.
- I've decided not to make the cheesecake.
- Yes, I am being a stressed slacker.
When it rains, it pours....
Not a list...
- I was pulled over for speeding, so I'm going to be late.
- Civil disobedience will not be tolerated.
- Why is this fucking thing doing this?
- Are you located at Y? Good, I hate X....
- Picture a knitter pulling out only a needle instead of the whole sock: NOOOOOOOO!!!!
- Oh man, I peed on my shirt.
- BTW, you put your favorite author as Amy Lane.
- Oh Jane? She's in the car wearing a blindfold.
I don't claim to understand, I just report what is heard.
Quick Shot
I spent Saturday and Sunday teaching Granddaughter-who-isn't how to knit. By the end of the weekend, she had the hang of it.
List Day - Double Shot!
- Slow typists shouldn't send me a greeting; they should come up with the problem they want cleared up first thing.
- Dude, you're going to call back in an hour sick. Why make me do twice as much work?
- Its winter, everyone (okay me and three others, maybe more) are wanting to eat everything in sight.
- Low talkers and mumbles annoy the heck out of me.
- On the plus side it's FRIDAY!
- Next weekend is the Geminid Meteors and a full moon.
- Honestly, I can't think of a damn thing I want for Christmas.
- And I haven't even begun to think about what I'm getting Grilltech for Christmas either.
- Hey I removed an event you put on for me, is that okay? Hmmm NO!!!
- Nothing more entertaining then accidentally locking your computer while in the middle of something.
- The bracelet that I thought was sterling, isn't.
- Today's headache rates about 6.3 magnitude.
- The Gnome was told he needs to double check time zones before committing to something.
- Then a cow-orker was complaining about the same thing; and I got pulled into the conference.
- Today's headache now rates about 9.3 magnitude.
- New routine at the gym today. It's not as bad.
- At the gym, really liked my purple handmade socks. I gave her the name of the LYS for classes.
List Day!
- Seems to be the week of letter writing. Yesterday's letter to the Hummer driver and one to a cow- orker saying you're right.
- I got six bucks out of the change machine, instead of five.
- A 7.2 magnitude headache is brewing.
- My hands are freezing.
- Yesterday Perky and I did the hated routine. Each exercise four times before moving on. I
wishedthought I was going to die by the end of the whole thing. - Watched Chuck and Heroes last night. Wow.
- It takes forever if I forget and tell it to authorize with everyone highlighted, instead of the one I needed.
- The expected displacements have currently ceased.
- But that doesn't mean it's done, just done for now.
- I've been wearing Ice Queen to work. It's amazingly warm.
- Yea, the list is pretty thin today.
An Open Letter
Today is my lucky day. Why? Because when the light turned green, I was still talking to Grilltech and five seconds had passed before I realized it was our turn. By then, you was already in the middle of the intersection. You would have nailed us. I shudder to think of the damage your high centered vechile would have done.
Next time, you might not be so lucky. So, please - please - hang up the fucking cell phone when you drive. Because next time, I might not being talking to Grilltech. Next time, well…
Knittech
It has begun....
Sunday we were walking through the meglomart and I found Supernatural season 1 and 2 for $14.98 each. Needless to say, I snatched them up. I was a bit bummed I wasn't able to find season 3; but I might get lucky.
Wow, my department had two people displaced today. Thankfully I wasn't one of them. The Gnome pulled me aside and said the displacements are done for today. Does that mean I have to worry the rest of the week?
